ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A shield system for the windshield and rear window of a vehicle in particular to protect such window against adherence of freezing rain and snow thereon. This window shield system comprises a vehicle top panel defining the upper skin of the passenger cabin and a covered shallow recess having access slots at the opposite ends respec- tively thereof adjacent the upper edge of the windshield and rear window, a pair of flexible shield panels slida- ble through these slots each toward a window shielding position, guides for the flexible shield panel to haul the latter into the shallow recess, a motor and gears driving the drum of each winch to selectively produce such hauling of the flexible shield panels, guides for the latter, and flaps spring- biased toward closing position relative to the access slots res- pectively.
