ABSTRACT A wingsail aerofoil arrangement comprising a plurality of thrust wings each comprising a leading aerofoil (1) and a trailing aerofoil (2). The trailing aerofoils are pivotable relative to the leading aerofoils to positions angularly displaced from the leading aerofoil. For thrusting the trailing aerofoils are generally pivoted towards the wind. In order to enable differential angular deflection of the trailing aerofoils the trailing elements are linked so that as they are deflected the trailing aerofoils undergo different angular deflection. The arrangement is particularly useful for stalling conditions for providing a leeward progression to deeper stalling tending to hold the thrust wings in stall.
