A wiping article (1), for cleaning surfaces, comprises a liquid-absorbent web material and, disposed on a liquid-absorbent surface thereof, abrasive areas (5) comprising at least cured particulate binder material, the abrasive areas being spaced apart by liquid-absorbent areas (4) of the web material. A method for making the wiping article, for cleaning surfaces, the method comprising the steps of : providing a liquid-absorbent web material; providing a dry particulate material that comprises at least particulate curable binder material; depositing spaced areas of the dry particulate material on a liquid- absorbent surface of the web material; and curing the binder material to form spaced abrasive areas on the surface of the web material, the said abrasive areas being spaced apart by liquid-absorbent areas of the web material.

L'invention concerne un article d'entretien (1) destiné à être utilisé pour nettoyer des surfaces. Cet article comprend une bande absorbant les liquides, laquelle présente sur une surface absorbant les liquides des zones abrasives (5) comprenant au moins un liant particulaire durci, lesdites zones abrasives étant séparées par des zones (4) de la bande qui absorbent les liquides. L'invention concerne également un procédé de production de cet article d'entretien pour nettoyer des surfaces, ce procédé consistant à préparer une bande absorbant les liquides, à préparer une matière particulaire sèche comprenant au moins un liant particulaire durcissable, à déposer la matière particulaire sèche dans des zones espacées sur une surface de la bande, cette surface absorbant les liquides, puis à faire durcir le liant de façon à former des zones abrasives espacées sur la surface de la bande, ces zones abrasives étant séparées par des zones de la bande qui absorbent les liquides.
