ABSTRACT The application discloses a system for forming a wire pack in- cluding a plurality of wires of predetermined length. The system includes a rotatable roll on which the wire is helically wound. The source of wire is a spool carried by a support that exerts a tension on the wire. Two wire supports are arranged to be mounted at spaced positions extending axially of the roll so as to engage wire wrapped on the roll. Means are also provided for engaging wire wrapped around the roll and positioning ad- jacent turns at regular spacings.
