Abstract of the Disclosure An insulating, restorative composition for wire on which polyethylene insulation has degraded, comprises an admixture of an aliphatic or cycloaliphatic polyisocyanate containing at least two isocyanate groups, a monofunctional alcohol having a molecular weight in the range of 200 to 1,500, and a tri- or tetra-functional aliphatic or cycloaliphatic polyol having a molecular weight in the range of 100 to 900.
