A bracket is provided for releasably securing a wire grid face protector to a forehead region of a helmet. The bracket has a body adapted for securement to the helmet and forms a groove into which a top horizontal attachment wire member of the wire grid face protector is releasably and frictionally retained. The wire grid face protector also has a rear horizontal wire hook portion for being disposed in close proximity under the body. The body is configured to engage the hook portion to prevent the wire grid face protector to disconnect from the bracket unless the face protector is hinged outwardly a predetermined distance.

L'invention concerne un support de fixation conçu pour assujettir provisoirement un masque protecteur grillagé à la partie frontale d'un casque. Ce support a un corps adapté pour s'assujettir au casque, tout en formant une rainure où l'on peut fixer un accessoire de protection faciale grillagé amovible assujetti par friction. Le masque protecteur grillagé est muni d'un crochet horizontal en fil métallique monté de façon à être disposé tout contre le corps du support. Ce dernier est conçu pour s'engager dans le crochet et empêcher le masque de se détacher de la base à moins que le protecteur facial ne soit déplacé vers l'extérieur en le faisant pivoter sur sa charnière à une distance préétablie.
