A wire lock for interlocking two lengths of wire (8, 9) which intersect each other in mutual contact, said wire lock comprising a U-shaped part (1) for receiving one length of wire (8), and a top member (2) intended to be received in the U-shaped part on top of the length of wire therein. One end of the top member has a curve shape (6) intended to be positioned on top of the other length of wire (9), when this is positioned against the U-shaped part, as well as a locking element (3) to be placed in an opening (10) in the legs of the U-shaped part for clamping the top member and the underlying first length of wire in the U-shaped part, whereby the top member simultaneously claims the second length of wire against the first one with its curve-shaped part for interlocking these lengths. The curve-shaped part of the top member continues in two legs (7) which extend down on each side of the first length of wire, preferably a length greater than the radius of the wire. The wire lock provides a high degree of certainty that the intersecting length of wire does not unintentionally slide out of the lock.
