The invention relates to a wire management device for organizing a group of wires wherein each wire is held separately so that placement, wire selection, and retrieval of individual wires is facilitated without disturbing other wires in the assembly; the invention can be used as part of a system of like devices, arranged sequentially, that prevents tangling of the wires and organizes them along a desired length without the use of conduit or supports, although the device can also be used in conjunction with a variety of support means. The invention is configurable to be fixable to panels or sheet material for applications in office systems and aerospace, and can be fashioned into an assembly to organize wire into compact spools. The invention is configurable as a strap that can be formed into a compact assembly when the two ends are fastened together to form a compact device for wire management, and can be attached around table legs, ducts, etc.
