A wire unrolling apparatus comprising a frame arranged to be attached to a vehicle for pulling, a shaft on the frame having an axis, a plurality of discs on the shaft for engaging the ground, more than once of the said discs are arranged such that a spool of wire be located on the shaft and supported by the discs, a spring arrangement coaxially located on the shaft for creating tension on the spool by pushing inwards on the discs so that the spool rotates about the axis at a slower rate of speed than the discs and an arrangement for reloading a second spool onto the shaft. The frame has a pair of arms which extend rearwardly from each end of the shaft having a cross bar at the rearmost end which is attached to at least one hitch for connecting to the vehicle. The shaft is solidly mounted to the frame such that the shaft does not rotate about the axis, the shaft is threaded at respective ends in which a bolt is inserted for attaching to the frame. The discs have a bearing assembly for mounting the discs to the shaft so that the discs rotate about the axis on the shaft. spacer is located at the ends of the shaft for engaging the discs at the bearing assembly. A single spool of wire is at the center of the shaft having discs at respective sides and a spring is located on respective sides on the shaft. Two spools are located on the shaft, the spools are located at the ends of the shaft and a single spring is located at the centre of the shaft engaging a disc at respective ends. The arrangement for reloading a second spool onto the shaft has a pair of arms, each arm engages a respective end of the shaft, the arms are attached to a cross bar which is arranged to force the arms outwardly so that the tension created by the 12 springs on the discs is released so that the spool can be removed and the second spool can be located on the shaft, the arrangement for reloading a second spool has a lifting device which lifts the discs of the ground so that the discs are not held in place by the ground.
