At present date there are innumerable designes of O.W.S.J. (Open Web Steel Joist) used for suspended platforms in construction of buildings, also of late there are Deep"C" Chanells from galvanised steel sheets for use as joists, studs and rafters in the construction industry. The specific requirement of my "WSSS" is to fill the need of a steel wall stud for exteriour walls or fire walls, heavy enough to satisfy structural requirements but with minimal "thermal short" effect. Although it appears similar to an ordinary "OWSJ" or a "Ladder" its designe is very different. The "Stringers" or "Webs" here are wires usually 6mm diameter and maximum 8mm diameter, with no rigidity but sufficient tensile strngth, welded to the ouside and inside posts. Plese reffer to sketch#1 The main intention of my "WSSS" is to be used in constructing insulated concrete walls and light steel structures.
