A method and apparatus for executing attachment procedures in a long term evolution (LTE) system to accommodate a single tunnel approach. Third Generation Partnership Program (3GPP) packet data protocol (PDP) context activation procedures are used for the allocation of an Internet protocol (IP) address and the establishment of tunneling between an evolved Node-B (eNodeB) and an anchor node, while allowing multiple radio access bearers (RABs) to be mapped to one PDP context for different quality of service (QoS) requirements. Thus, one PDP context is sufficient for a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) within a single packet data network (PDN). Multiple PDP contexts can be established for special requirements, (e.g., bundled services), or when the WTRU connects to multiple PDNs.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour exécuter des procédures d'attachement dans un système d'évolution à long terme (LTE) pour loger une seule approche de tunnel. Des procédures d'activation de contexte pour le protocole de données de paquet (PDP) d'un programme de partenariat de troisième génération (3GPP) servent à allouer une adresse de protocole Internet (IP) et établir une tunnelisation entre un noeud B évolué (eNodeB) et un autre noeud, tout en permettant à plusieurs porteurs d'accès radio (RAB) d'être mis en correspondance sur un contexte PDP pour différents critères de qualité de service (QoS). Ainsi, un contexte PDP suffit pour une unité sans fil de transmission/réception (WTRU) dans un réseau de données de paquet uniques (PDN). Plusieurs contextes PDP peuvent être établis pour des critères spéciaux (par ex. services groupés) ou lorsque le WTRU se connecte à plusieurs PDN.
