A method for conducting a transaction is disclosed. The method includes using a first portable electronic device (12), and directly transmitting a request for payment to a second portable electronic device (1) through a wireless link. Then, the second portable electronic device (14) transmits an approval of the request for payment to the first portable electronic device (12). One of the first and die second portable electronic devices (12, 14) then sends the request for payment to a payment hub service (18). The payment hub service then facilitates the transfer of funds from a payer institution (20) to a payee institution (24) to complete the transaction.
L'invention porte sur un procédé permettant d'exécuter une transaction, qui consiste à utiliser un premier dispositif électronique portable afin de transmettre directement une demande de paiement à un second dispositif électronique portable via une liaison sans fil. Le second dispositif électronique portable transmet ensuite une approbation de la demande de paiement au premier dispositif électronique portable, et le premier ou le second dispositif électronique portable envoie la demande de paiement à un service de centre de paiement. Le service de centre de paiement facilite alors le transfert de fonds d'une institution payeuse vers une institution bénéficiaire afin d'achever la transaction.
