The present invention relates to a wireless temperature monitoring system to reduce the risk of scalding to a user. The system includes a wireless link between a temperature sensor/transmitter on the end of a faucet and a controllerin order to facilitate installation on a faucet. The invention may also provide a digital display with audio and/or visual alarms to indicate if a pre-set maximumtemperature has been exceeded and a shut-off valve to interrupt flow of water tothe faucet.
