A wiring system which may find particular application in installing after market vehicle products into a vehicle. Such a system is to be directly installed into an already existing wire harness system of a vehicle and includes male and female connectors which connect into respective female and male connectors of the already existing wiring harness system. Connected between the male and female connectors is a vehicle control unit which controls a function of the vehicle. Such a vehicle control unit may typically be a keyless entry system or an alarm system for the vehicle and will be connected in the wiring harness from a door of the vehicle.
