Abstract of the Disclosure Wood chip board the binder of which is an aminoplast, the amount of solid resin of the binder in the area of the sur- faces of the board being less than 8 % by weight of the chip material and the amount of solid resin of the binder in the area of the center of the board in terms of percentage being equal or higher than in the area of the surfaces of the board. For preparing such a board advantageously the chip material provided for the surfaces is glued with a liquor of an aminoplast, the concentration of solid resin thereof is between 10 and 35 %, preferably between 20 and 30 %.
