A wood curing kiln is disclosed which comprises a chamber which is sealed to retain a negative pressure with respect to the ambient and for storingstacked lumber therein. Heated air is circulated within the chamber and through the stacked lumber to remove moisture from the latter. The chamber is constantly vented to remove moist air while the negative pressure is maintained within the chamber. The floor of the chamber is heated by embedded pipes for heating water to prevent condensation within the chamber.
