ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A wood-cutting saw bench is disclosed which comprises a pedestal having a main table provided with a top surface and a table extension structure mounted on it, which structure includes a table extension and elongated rails alongside the main table and the table extension and solid with the latter. A rotary cutting saw projects up front the pedestal and the main table. The table extension has a top surface that is coplanar with the top surface of the main table. A rip fence assembly is mounted on the rails so as to be displaced over and along the table extension structure. The main table has two brackets secured to each of two opposite sides which receive the rails of the table extension structure. The rails are mounted on the brackets by manually operable clamping devices which allow, when released, the rails to be slid over the brackets to displace the table extension structure bodily in the direction of the rotation axis of the saw and which allow, when the brackets and rails are clamped together, the table structure to be fixed with respect to the saw.
