A wood-like molding comprising a polymer (A) composed mainly of a polymethacrylic ester, an inorganic filler (B), and cellulosic microparticles (C) [preferably cellulosic microparticles (D)] each containing an inorganic pigment biting into the surface thereof; and a process for preparing a wood- like molding which comprises molding a starting composition by cast molding. The wood-like resin molding is free from fuzzing, exhibits a homogeneous wood- like pattern with satisfactory wood texture, is free from changes in appearance, such as uneven color, for a long period of time, and does not give any burned mark at the time of molding.

L'invention concerne un moulage imitant le bois comprenant un polymère (A) composé essentiellement d'un ester polyméthacrylique, une charge inorganique (B) et des micro-particules cellulosiques (C), de préférence des micro-particules cellulosiques (D) contenant chacune un pigment inorganique mordant dans sa surface; et un procédé de préparation d'un moulage imitant le bois, consistant à mouler une composition de départ par moulage par coulée. Le moulage en résine imitant le bois ne présente pas de caractère floconneux, il présente un motif imitant le bois homogène avec une texture de bois satisfaisante, il ne présente pas de changement d'apparence, tel qu'une couleur irrégulière, pendant une longue durée, et il ne présente aucune marque de brûlure lors du moulage.
