WOOD-SPLITTING AID ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A wood-splitting aid is disclosed wherein the aid includes a metal frame that is attached to a chopping block. The frame extends above the top surface of the chopping block and is used to balance a piece of wood in an upright position on the block for easy splitting by a per- son swinging an ax. Further, the frame has specially designed arms that catch pieces of "flying" wood after they are split, rather than allowing the wood pieces to become widely scattered on the ground.
