A wooden frame for window or door leaves is composed of frame pieces (3'), each one of which comprising a first part (8) facing outwards in a wall opening and a second part (9) facing inwards. The outer, first part (8) of the individual frame piece is delimited by two surfaces (13, 16) converging outwardly and at an acute angle relative to each other, said surfaces emanating from dividing cuts made in an initial log, said cuts extending radially from the area of the centre of the log. In that way, the annual rings in the wood material are orientated in such a way that imagined tangents to individual annual rings cut through said surfaces-(13, 16) substantially perpendicularly to the planes of the surfaces and older annual rings being situated closest to the free, narrow edge of the part (8).
L'invention se rapporte à un châssis en bois pour vantail (fenêtre ou porte), composé de pièces de châssis (3') consistuées chacune d'une première partie (8) côté extérieur dans une ouverture de mur et une seconde partie (9) côté intérieur. La première partie côté extérieur (8) de chaque pièce de châssis est délimitée par deux surfaces (13, 16) qui convergent vers l'extérieur et forment entres elles un angle aigu. Les surfaces en question résultent des coupes de séparation faites dans une bille de bois initiale. Les coupes s'étendent radialement depuis la zone du centre de la bille de bois. Ainsi, les anneaux d'accroissement des éléments en bois sont orientés de telle sorte que les tangentes fictives aux différents anneaux d'accroissement s'abaissent sur les surfaces susmentionnées (13, 16) de manière sensiblement perpendiculaire au plan desdites surfaces, les anneaux d'accroissement moins récents se trouvant le plus près de la bordure étroite libre de la partie (8) considérée.
