- 1 - Abstract: A woodwind instrument body has a tone hole openable by a key and an arm having a tone hole cover. These parts are mounted on a hinge rod by a pair of posts. The invention is characterised by a pair of bosses projecting from the outer periphery of the body. Each boss is formed with a hole of sufficient depth that proper securement of the posts to the instrument body can be obtained by fitting the lower portion of each post into a respective hole. The result is more secure fixing of the posts in the holes.
