A woody formed article, characterized as being produced by admixing a woody material W and, as a binding agent, a thermoplastic resin R in the form of a fiber and/or a ribbon which is easy to be intertwined with the woody material W, and molding the resultant mixture. The thermoplastic resin R is preferably admixed in a state of being heated and molten. A method for producing a woody formed material, characterized in that it comprises providing a mat M of a raw material mixture Mx of a woody material W and a thermoplastic resin R in the form of a fiber and/or a ribbon and subjecting the mat M to heat pressing, or comprises, in admixing the woody material W with the above thermoplastic resin R in the form of a fiber, stretching and fining the resin R by means of a hot wind and/or a cold wind, and admixing homogeneously it with the woody material W by utilizing a negative pressure zone due to the hot wind and/or the cold wind, to prepare a mat M of a raw material mixture Mx, and then subjecting the mat M to pressing.
L'invention concerne un matériau formé à base de bois caractérisé en ce qu'on utilise un matériau à base de bois W et, en tant que liant, une résine thermoplastique R sous la forme d'une fibre et/ou d'un ruban (qui peut être facilement entrelacé avec le matériau à base de bois W) puis on moule le mélange ainsi obtenu. La résine thermoplastique est de préférence ajoutée dans un état dans lequel elle peut être chauffée et moulée. L'invention concerne aussi un procédé de fabrication d'un matériau formé à base de bois; il consiste à fournir un matériau M constitué d'un mélange de matière première Mx d'un matériau à base de bois W et une résine thermoplastique R sous la forme d'une fibre et/ou d'un ruban puis à soumettre à la pression sous chaleur; il peut consister à mélanger le matériau à base de bois W avec la résine thermoplastique susmentionnée R sous la forme d'une fibre, étirer et affiner la résine R au moyen d'un flux d'air froid et/ou chaud et le mélanger de façon homogène avec le matériau W en utilisant une zone de pression négative formée sous l'effet du flux d'air chaud ou froid de manière à préparer un matériau M à partir d'une matière première Mx puis à soumettre le matériau M au pressage.
