A work glove particularly useful for gardening, automobile mechanical work and any other type of use which brings the palmar side of the hand in contact with work or the like which may result in stinging, bruising, or blistering of the fingers, thumb and palm of a human hand is provided with protective padding disclosed or positioned for overlying at least the distal halves of the index finger and long finger metacarpals excluding the metacarpalphalangeal joints of the index finger and the long finger. Preferably, the glove also includes protective padding disposed along a thumb stall of the glove at a location adapted to be along an ulnar border as well as the A2 pulleys of the thumb's proximal phalanx between the metacarpalphalangeal joint and the interphalangeal joint.

L'invention concerne un gant de travail particulièrement utile pour le jardinage, le travail mécanique sur automobile ou tout autre type d'utilisation qui amène la paume de la main en contact avec le travail ou analogue et provoque une sensation de brûlure, de contusion ou de cloquage sur les doigts, le pouce et la paume d'une main humaine. Le gant de travail de l'invention est muni d'une garniture de protection ou placé de façon à recouvrir au moins les moitiés distales des métacarpes de l'index et du majeur, à l'exclusion des articulations métacarpienne et phalangienne de l'index et du majeur. De préférence, le gant comprend également une garniture de protection disposée le long d'un compartiment de pouce du gant, à un emplacement adapté pour se situer le long d'une limite cubitale, ainsi que les poulies A2 de la phalage proximale du pouce, entre l'articulation métacarpienne et l'articulation interphalangienne.
