A work piece carrier is provided with two reference systems for accurately positioning it with regard to a chuck member. The work piece carrier comprises a central aperture; each of the two opposite ends of the aperture is surrounded by one of the reference systems. In the interior of the central aperture, means are provided for fixing and/or positioning a work piece. The two reference systems are independent from each other and allow the work piece carrier to be attached to the chuck member in two different po-sitions. Assigned to each reference system is a protrusion surrounding the central aperture and extending substantially in the direction of the central longitudinal axis of the work piece carrier. The particular protrusion is provided with a shoulder serving as a clamping surface, adapted to be engaged by clamping elements provided in the chuck member. Preferably, also the centering elements for defining the position of the work piece carrier with regard to the chuck member are located on the particular protrusion.
Cette invention concerne un support de pièce avec deux systèmes de référence permettant de la placer avec précision par rapport à un mandrin. Le support de pièce comprend une ouverture centrale, chacune des deux extrémités opposées de cette ouverture étant entourée de l'un des systèmes de référence. € l'intérieur de l'ouverture centrale se trouve un moyen de fixer ou de placer la pièce. Les deux systèmes de référence sont indépendants l'un de l'autre et permettent de fixer le support de pièce au mandrin en deux positions différentes. Chaque système de référence est doté d'une protrusion entourant l'ouverture centrale et se prolongeant de façon substantielle dans le sens de l'axe longitudinal central du support de pièce. Cette protrusion est dotée d'un épaulement servant de surface de fixation, conçu pour être engagé par les éléments de fixation du mandrin. De préférence, les éléments de centrage définissant la position du support de pièce par rapport au mandrin sont situés sur la protrusion.
