WORK PREPARATION AND RULING MACHINE Abstract of the Disclosure A work preparation and ruling machine is used to square die sections, drill and trace the layout on wood for a die sawing machine and to rule the die. The machine is provided with an elongated cylinder and an associated parallel beam and a plurality of positioning holes in the cylinder. A travelling tracing carriage is mounted on the parallel beam and is equipped with a digital dialing device to measure horizontal dimensions of the layout. A large wheel is mounted on the axis of the elongated cylinder to actuate a second measuring device mounted on the parallel beam to measure vertical dimensions.
