ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A working vehicle having right and left traveling members driven by respective hydraulic motors adapted to be selectively operated by control levers linked to corresponding valves to effect traveling and maneuvering the vehicle in- cludes a speed change valve that connects a pair of hydraulic pumps serially with the drive motors to effect high speed operation and individually with a corresponding drive motor to effect low speed operation. A speed control pedal is resiliently coupled through a mechanical switch mechanism to the speed change valve. The control levers are pivotally connected to respective cams in the switch mechanism and there- from to corresponding control valves. Interaction of the cams with cam followers pivotally linked to the pedal provide the control levers with speed control priority such that a neutral position of both levers inhibits high speed operation despite actuation of the pedal. Movement together of both levers out of neutral frees the pedal linkage to permit high speed operation. However, when the levers are oscillated relative to each other as when turning the vehicle, engagement of the cams and followers inhibits high speed operation which is automatically restored when the levers are moved together to drive the vehicle in a straight line.
