A storage riser (20) for mounting atop a work surface (15) has an open-front wall structure including a rear wall (21), side walls (24, 25) and a top wall (26) and a bifold door assembly (40) for closing the front opening (39). The door assembly (40) has an upper panel (41) hingedly connected to the front of the top wall (26) and a lower panel (45) hingedly connected to the bottom of the upper panel (41) for pivotal movement between a vertical, unfolded, closed position and a non-vertical, folded, open position disposed in the storage compartment (38) adjacent to the top wall (26). Coupling brackets (53) project inwardly of the compartment from the opposite sides of the lower panel (45) adjacent to its upper end, the brackets (53) carrying guide rollers (57) which roll in channel tracks (35) on the side walls (24, 25). Opening of the door assembly (40) is assisted by gas springs (60), disposed adjacent to the side walls (24, 25) and having cylinders (61) pivotally coupled to the coupling brackets (53) and rods (63) pivotally coupled to the side walls (24, 25) adjacent to the lower end of the front opening (39).

L'ouverture de l'ensemble porte (40) est assistée par des ressorts à gaz (60) disposés respectivement en position adjacente aux parois latérales (25, 25) et comportant des cylindres (61) couplés pivotants aux pattes de fixation (53) et des tiges (63) couplées aux parois latérales (24, 25) adjacentes à l'extrémité inférieure de l'ouverture de façade (39).
