Devices are provided for closing a puncture wound. In one exemplary embodiment, a puncture closure device (10) is provided having an elongate tubular body (12) that is disposable through a puncture in tissue and that includes proximal (12a) and distal (12b) portions. The proximal portion can be adapted to expand to form proximal wings (16a) upon rotation of the elongate tubular body, preferably in a first direction. The distal portion can be adapted to expand to form distal wings (16b) upon rotation of the elongate tubular body, preferably in a second, opposite direction. The proximal and distal portions can also be adapted to be moved toward one another as they expand upon rotation. As a result, the proximal and distal wings can engage tissue therebetween.

L'invention concerne des dispositifs de fermeture d'une plaie par perforation. Dans un mode de réalisation représentatif, un dispositif (10) de fermeture de perforation selon l'invention comporte un corps (12) tubulaire allongé susceptible d'être disposé au travers d'une perforation dans un tissu et comprenant des parties proximale (12a) et distale (12b). La partie proximale peut être adaptée pour se déployer de façon à former des ailes (16a) proximales suite à la rotation du corps tubulaire allongé, de préférence dans une première direction. La partie distale peut être adaptée pour se déployer de façon à former des ailes (16b) distales suite à la rotation du corps tubulaire allongé, de préférence dans une deuxième direction opposée. Les parties proximale et distale peuvent également être adaptées pour être déplacées l'une vers l'autre lorsqu'elles se déploient suite à la rotation. Par conséquent, les ailes proximales et distales peuvent accrocher du tissu entre elles.
