A wound shield for exudate management may include a conformable frame to circumscribe a wound. The conformable frame may be formed of material for absorbing wound exudate. Exudate absorbing material may also be one of two or more layers of material forming the conformable frame. The layers may be arranged to keep the exudate absorbing layer at some selected distance from a patients skin. Any suitable dressing may be secured over the conformable frame providing separation between the wound and the dressing. The wound frame may provide pressure relief around a wound or pressure sore to permit healing. The conformable frame may be wrapped, in a spiral, around a wound providing an increasing pressure relief by increasing distance from the wound. A conformable frame may be composed of one or more layers of any suitable material and may include adhesive on one or more surfaces to secure the frame to the wound site and or to secure the dressing to the conformable frame. One layer of the two or more layers of material forming the conformable frame may be a wicking or conduit material that draws exudate from the wound and transports the exudate to any suitable media for exudate storage. The exudate storage may be one or more layers of a dressing covering the wound site, or it may be a removable reservoir.
La présente invention concerne une protection de blessure pour régulation d~exsudat comprenant un support suffisant pour couvrir une blessure. Ce support peut être formé de matière permettant d~absorber l~exsudat de blessure. Cette matière absorbante d~exsudat peut également être une de plusieurs couches de matière formant ce support. Ces couches peuvent être arrangées pour maintenir la couche absorbante d~exsudat à une certaine distance sélectionnée de la peau d~un patient. Il est possible de fixer tout pansement adéquat sur le support fournissant une séparation entre la blessure et le pansement. Le support peut être enveloppé, en spirale, autour d~une blessure fournissant un soulagement de pression qui augmente en le séparant plus de la blessure. Un support conforme peut se composer d~au moins une couche de n~importe quel matériau adéquat et peut comprendre une matière adhésive sur une ou plusieurs surfaces afin de le fixer à l'endroit de la blessure et/ ou pour lui attacher le pansement. Une couche parmi l~ensemble de couches de matière formant le support pourra être formée d'une matière conductrice telle qu~une mèche qui absorbe l'exsudat de la blessure et achemine cet exsudat vers un support adéquat pour l~y retenir. Le moyen de retenue de l~exsudat pourra être une ou plusieurs couches de pansement couvrant la blessure, ou il pourra s~agir d~un réservoir amovible.
