A woven or knitted cloth formed from two different yarns being different from each other in the self elongation due to water absorption, which comprises a yarn (1) exhibiting a high self elongation due to water absorption and having an average yarn length (A) and a yarn (2) being arranged in the same direction as that for the yarn (1), exhibiting a self elongation lower than that of the yarn (1) and having an average yarn length (B), wherein a yarn length ratio (A/B) is greater than 0.9, and which exhibits the reduction of an interstitial ratio when it becomes wet.
Etoffe tissée ou tricotée, faite de deux fils différents en termes d'auto-élongation due à l'absorption d'eau, comprenant un fil (1) à forte auto-élongation par suite de l'absorption d'eau d'une longueur moyenne (A), et un fil (2) disposé dans le même sens que le fil 1, dont l'auto-élongation par suite de l'absorption d'eau est inférieure à celle du fil (1), de longueur moyenne (B). Le rapport entre longueurs de fil (A/B) est supérieure à 0,9, et l'étoffe se caractérise par un moindre rétrécissement interstitiel lorsqu'elle est mouillée.
