WOVEN WIRE FABRIC AND TIRE MADE THEREOF Abstract of the Disclosure A woven wire fabric (20) has metallic warp cords (21) interlaced with non-metallic weft filaments (22). The non-metallic weft filaments are comprised of an unstretched monofilament polymer selected from the group consisting of polyamide 6,6; polyamide 6, and polyethyleneterephthalate, with the monofilament polymer having an elongation of more than 100 percent at its tensile breaking strength. A tire having reinforcing components of the disclosed woven wire fabric is also disclosed.
