An improved frame for receiving tubular lamps such as conventional fluorescent light tubes. The frame has a pivoting end flange movable between a closed position covering the light sockets and an open position exposing the light sockets to permit easy insertion and withdrawal of the light tubes. Slots of sufficient size to accommodate the light tube pins are located at transverse locations corresponding to the position of light sockets. The light tube pins may be passed through the slots when the flange is pivoted to the open position. The frame has a thinner profile than standard fixtures since less clearance is required to manoeuvre light tubes into position within the frame compartment.
Boîtier amélioré, destiné à accommoder des lampes tubulaires, telles que des tubes fluorescents ordinaires, dont une des extrémités est dotée d'un rebord pivotant, qui peut passer d'une position fermée, dans laquelle il recouvre les douilles, à une position ouverte, dans laquelle les douilles sont exposées, ce qui permet de facilement insérer et retirer les tubes fluorescents. Des ouvertures, suffisamment grandes pour accommoder les broches des tubes fluorescents, sont aménagées transversalement à certains points, de manière à correspondre à l'emplacement des douilles. Les broches peuvent être insérées dans ces ouvertures lorsque le rebord est ouvert. Le boîtier présente un profil plus mince que celui des luminaires ordinaires puisqu'il exige moins d'espace pour insérer les tubes fluorescents.
