A writing instrument (10) with an advance-retract mechanism is operable by rotation of a knob (46) opposite the writing tip. The knob rotates a shaft (16) disposed in, and extending rearwardly from, the instrument body to advance and retract the writing tip when rotated. A retainer member (28) has a first cylindrical portion (32) with a plurality of inwardly extending tangs (33) into which the shaft is received and a larger cylindrical portion (34) having a surface (36) directed toward the instrument body.
Un stylo (10) ou instrument analogue, muni d'un mécanisme pour faire avancer/rentrer la pointe, est actionné par rotation d'un bouton (46) situé à l'opposé de la pointe d'écriture. Le bouton fait tourner une tige (16) disposée à l'intérieur du corps du stylo et s'étendant vers l'arrière à partir de ce dernier, afin de faire avancer et de rentrer la pointe. Un élément de retenue (28) comprend une première partie cylindrique (32) dotée d'une pluralité de talons (33), dans laquelle la tige est reçue, ainsi qu'une partie cylindrique plus large (34) présentant une surface (36) orientée vers le corps du stylo.
