The invention relates to a writing instrument including an ink chamber (1) and writing tip (3) which is fluidly connected to the chamber. In addition to the ink (11), the chamber also contains separate grains (12) which are provided with sharp edges and corners of large dimensions. Such grains improve the regularity of the ink supply to the tip. Preferably, the grains (12) can move inside the chamber.
