Writing paper to aid in the learning writing skills comprising, three contiguous, parallel, distinctly shaded bands of equal width, each group of three said bands arranged together as a module, said modules being arranged on a page or other substrate in parallel, spaced-apart relation, and wherein each of said three parallel bands comprises a different colour, further wherein said lowest band is brown, said middle band is green and said upper band is blue. The said colours are used as symbols to represent the sky (blue), grass (green), and dirt (brown). The visual boundaries created by the three colours and the symbolic representations enable individuals to orient letters to the correct baselines.
