In an X-ray analysis apparatus, a pulse ampli- tude shift correction circuit is included which is provid- ed with a pulse comparison circuit (22) for producing a correction signal, which is a measure for an occurring pulse amplitude shift. This signal is applied to a pulse amplifier (20), as a result of which an effective pulse amplitude shift correction is provided.
