ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An X-ray contrast preparation comprising a) a finely divided water-insoluble inorganic X-ray contrast producing substance and b) minute particles of a hydrophilic polymer containing amino groups, which polymer is insoluble in water at body temperature and which consists of a water- insoluble, but water-swellable three-dimensional network held together by bonds of a covalent nature, said polymer containing a certain amount of amino groups and the average particle size of the polymer particles lying within a certain range. The preparation is intended for the X-ray examination of body cavities having outer discharge orifices, It adheres very effectively to the walls of the body cavities. - 2 -
