Abstract A voltage supply for an X-ray tube provides, both high and low voltages to the tube. A high voltage transformer using split primary and secondary windings is employed. The high voltage is switched on and off by selectively phasing the voltage across the transformer's secondary coils. Low voltage is coupled from one of two primary windings.
