The invention relates to a xerogel comprising: 30 to 90 wt.% of a monomer component (a1) of at least one polyfunctional isocyanate and from10 to 70 wt.% of a monomer component (a2) of at least one polyfunctional aromatic amine, of which at least one is selected from 4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane, 2,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane, 2,2'-diaminodiphenylmethane and oligomeric diaminodiphenylmethane, wherein the sum of the wt.% of the monomer components (a1) and (a2) is 100 wt.% and the monomer components are present in the xerogel in the polymeric form and the volume-weighted mean pore diameter of the xerogel is a maximum of 5 µm. The invention further relates to a method for production of xerogels, the xerogels obtained thus and the use of said xerogels as insulation and in vacuum insulation panels.

L'invention concerne un xérogel contenant entre 30 et 90% en poids d'un composant monomère (a1) provenant d'au moins un isocyanate multifonctionnel et entre 10 et 70% en poids d'un composant monomère (a2) provenant d'un acide aminé aromatique multifonctionnel, l'un d'entre eux étant sélectionné parmi le groupe composé de 4'-Diaminodiphénylméthane, 2,4'-Diaminodiphénylméthane, 2,2'-Diaminodiphénylméthane et de diaminodiphénylméthane, la somme des composants monomères (a1) et (a2) représentant 100% en poids, ces derniers se présentant sous la forme polymère dans les xérogels et correspondant à 5 µm maximum du diamètre moyen des pores en poids volume du xérogel. De plus, l'invention concerne un procédé de production de xérogels, les xérogels ainsi obtenus et l'utilisation des xérogels en tant que panneaux isolants et d'isolation sous vide.
