ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A xerographic photoreceptor layer which comprises trigonal selenium particles dispersed in an insulating resin matrix, the trigonal selenium particles being present in an amount from about 1 to 25 percent by volume of the layer, and dispersed in a controlled manner to form a plurality of contin- uous paths through the thickness of said layer. Methods of making and imaging the photoreceptor layer are also disclosed.
