RECOMMENDED FORMS FORM 24 (as. 21.31.34 AND 142) ABSTRACT This invention describes the use of a mechanical device with selectable labels affixed to a movable plate. It is intended as a replacement for conventional labelling and identification using cards, markers, tags, flags etc. The mechanism allows the visible portion of the label to be viewed in the upright position without further handling by the viewer. The addition of an embossed decal permits the tag to be set by feeling the shape of the symbols. Adding a second disk and decal increase the capability of the device to a two character\symbol label or a counter in the case of numbered decals.
