An improved yarn constituted of expanded graphite and PTFE is provided in which the expanded graphite as a core material is not exposed and which can be easily produced. The yarn is formed by: forming a base (3) by wrapping an expanded-graphite sheet material (1) with a PTFE film (2) while keeping the PTFE film (2) and the expanded-graphite sheet material (1) equally oriented with respect to longitudinal direction; and twisting the base (3). The base (3) has an approximately circular section, and is composed of the expanded-graphite sheet material (1) having a rounded sectional shape and the pipe-form rounded PTFE film (2) with which the sheet material (1) has been wrapped.
Linvention concerne un fil amélioré constitué de graphite expansé et de PTFE, dans lequel le graphite expansé forme un matériau central et nest pas exposé, et qui peut facilement être produit. Le fil est formé en : formant une base (3) en enrobant un matériau de graphite expansé en forme de feuille (1) avec un film de PTFE (2) tout en maintenant constante lorientation du film de PTFE (2) et du matériau de graphite expansé en forme de feuille (1) au regard de la direction longitudinale ; et tordant la base (3). La base (3) a une section approximativement circulaire et est composée du matériau de graphite expansé en forme de feuille (1) qui a une section de forme ronde et du film de PTFE (2) rond en forme de tuyau avec lequel le matériau en forme de feuille a été enrobé.
