A yarn for strands of an artificial turf ground cover, including a tape filament (4) having a core layer (8) and two outer layers (9) of a different material than the core layer (8), each on one of two opposite sides of the core layer. The core layer (8) contains at least polyester or polyolefin material, and the outer layers (9) contain high-density polyethylene. An artificial turf ground cover and a playing field including such a yarn and a method for producing such a yarn are also described. The high-density polyethylene has a relatively small coefficient of friction with the human skin and the yarn has a good shape recovery after deformation in spite of containing HDPE in outer layers.
Un fil pour torons destiné à un revêtement sous forme de gazon artificiel comprend un filament en forme de bande (4) possédant une couche noyau (8) et deux couches externes (9) de matériaux différents de celui de la couche noyau (8), de chaque côté opposé de la couche noyau. La couche noyau (8) contient au moins un matériau de polyester ou de polyoléfine, et les couches externes (9) contiennent du polyéthylène haute densité. L'invention concerne également un revêtement sous forme de gazon artificiel et un terrain de jeu ainsi qu'un procédé de fabrication de fil correspondant. Le polyéthylène haute densité présente un coefficient de frottement par rapport à la peau humaine relativement bas; ledit fil possède en outre un bon maintien de forme après déformation, et ce malgré le fait qu'il contienne HDPE dans les couches externes.
