ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE Zeolite agglomerates in which the distribution of capillary pores is modified to enhance the number of pores in the diameter range of from 2 to 100 microns are found to have a greatly improved ability to release adsorbed CO2 into liquid media in a manner which favors both a high rate of desorption and a high degree of solubility of the desorbate gases in the liquid media. The agglomerates are particularly useful for the carbonation of an aqueous medium.
