A zeolitic material with a crystalline structure of MFI type has a ratio of silica to alumina which is lower than 26, and is hydrothermally prepared without organic template reagents or seeding procedures. Crystalline structure is obtained by forming a mixture of a silicon dioxide source, an alkali metal hydroxide, an aluminum source and water, all reactants with the following molar ratios: see. fig. 1 from 14 to 22; see. fig. 2 from 0.05 to 0.08; see. fig. 3 from 0.08 to 0.11; see. fig. 4 from 14 to 22; where M is an alkali metal, and reacting the mixture at a temperature from 160 to 180°C for 40 - 80 hours. The material is characterized by X-ray diffraction, and has good cracking activity and improved selectivity for gasoline octanes.

Un matériau zéolitique à structure cristalline de type MFI possède un rapport silice sur alumine inférieur à 26, et est préparé par voie hydrothermique sans réactifs organiques modèles ni méthodes d'ensemencement. La structure cristalline est obtenue en formant un mélange d'une source de dioxyde de silicium, d'hydroxyde de métal alcalin, d'une source d'aluminium et d'eau. Tous les réactifs sont présents dans les rapports molaires suivants : voir fig. 1, de 14 à 22; voir fig. 2, de 0,05 à 0,08; voir fig. 3, de 0,08 à 0,11; voir fig. 4, de 14 à 22; M est un métal alcalin et on laisse le mélange réagir à une tempéerature de 160 à 180 degrés C pendant 40-80 heures. Le matériau est analysé par diffraction des rayons X; il donne un bon rendement de craquage et possède une sélectivité améliorée pour les octanes dans l'essence.
