PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: La présente invention a trait à une zéolite comme auxiliaire de détergence de type A, notamment 4 A. Cette zéolite se caractérise par le fait qu'elle présente un dia- mètre moyen des particules primaires compris entre 0,1 et 10µ; un pouvoir d'échange de cations supérieur à 100 mg CaCO3/g de produit anhydre; et une constante de vitesse, rapportée à la surface de la zéolite par litre de solution supérieure à 0,15 s-1 1m-2 et de préférence supérieure à 0,25 s-1 1m-2. Une telle zéolite trouve son application dans des formules lessivielles.
