ABSTRACT A circuit board edge connector comprising an insulating housing including two elongate side walls fixed spaced apart in parallel relation defining between them a one end a slot for receiving the circuit board, a row of elongate resilient contact members located in the housing and having at root end anchored remote from the slot and an intermediate contact portion protruding into the slot to establish electrical connection with a conductive track on the circuit board where inserted in the slot, a lever having a plate-like portion extending along the exterior of the one wall with one end pivoted to the wall, the other end of the lever being hooked about free ends of the contact members, a cam member movably mounted between the plate lever and the one wall to pivot the lever away from the wall thereby retracting the contact portions from the slot.
