A self-propelled utility tractor having articulated steering (65,78), a standing operator, a turning radius near the rear wheel (14) on the inside of a full turn, the radius of turn being not substantially longer than the wheel base, independent rear wheel brakes (85) to assist in tight turns, a steering wheel (75) for operating a steering linkage (68,69,70,77), an engine (92) and transmission (90), centrally mounted with the engine below the transmission transmitting power by a jack shaft (91) so the output shaft of the engine extends down to power an attachment, and where the attachment is a mower deck (12), a rear discharge chute (20) deflects the clippings uniformly across the rear to avoid wind rowing and flexible elements rotate above the mower blade to provide additional mulching and turbulent air flow and self-cleaning of the underside of the deck.
L'invention concerne un tracteur utilitaire autotracté (Fig.10) à direction par châssis articulé (65, 78), à opérateur debout, à rayon de braquage à proximité de la roue arrière (14) dans un virage complet, le rayon de braquage n'étant pas sensiblement plus long que l'entraxe des essieux. Ledit tracteur comprend également des freins de roue arrière indépendants (85) permettant les virages serrés, une roue directrice (75) pour commander une timonerie de direction (68, 69, 70, 77), un moteur (92) et une transmission (90) montés au centre, le moteur situé au-dessous de la transmission transmettant l'énergie au moyen d'un arbre de réduction (91), de sorte que l'arbre de sortie du moteur s'étende vers le bas pour alimenter un attachement du type châssis de tondeuse (12). Est également prévue, une goulotte d'évacuation arrière (20) déviant les tontes de gazon de manière homogène vers l'arrière, afin d'empêcher les ondulations du vent et les éléments souples de tourner autour de la lame de la tondeuse, de sorte qu'un déchiquetage supplémentaire soit assuré, qu'un courant d'air turbulent soit produit et qu'un auto-nettoyage de la sous-face du châssis soit réalisé.
