A zinc air-type battery comprising first and second cathodes each with positive contacts and an anode with a negative contact. The second cathode is situated proximal to the negative contact and proximal to the anode, which can enable air ingress to be substantially doubled and the internal resistance of the battery to be substantially halved, and further can provide for a relatively short diffusion length of ions from the second cathode.

L'invention concerne un accumulateur de type zinc-air comprenant une première et une deuxième cathode ayant respectivement des contacts positifs et une anode ayant un contact négatif. La deuxième cathode est située à proximité du contact négatif et à proximité de l'anode, ce qui permet sensiblement de doubler l'admission d'air et de réduire de moitié la résistance interne de l'accumulateur ainsi que d'obtenir une longueur de diffusion d'ions relativement courte à partir de la deuxième cathode.
