A rubber composition which is the vulcanization reaction of a rubber, sulfur or a sulfur donor, particular anti- reversion coagents, and an effective amount of zinc, complexed with at least one carboxylic acid group, is disclosed. The invention also relates to a sulfur- vulcanization process which is carried out in the presence of an anti-reversion coagent and the complexed zinc and the use of an anti-reversion coagent in combination with the complexed zinc in a process for the sulfur-vulcanization of rubber. The resulting sulfur-vulcanized rubbers have significantly improved physical properties.

Composition de caoutchouc formée par le produit de la réaction de vulcanisation entre un caoutchouc, du soufre ou un donneur de soufre, des agents de combinaison antiréversion particuliers, et une quantité efficace de zinc formant un complexe avec au moins un groupe carboxylique. L'invention se rapporte également à un procédé de vulcanisation au soufre effectué en présence d'un agent de combinaison antiréversion et du complexe de zinc, ainsi qu'à l'utilisation dudit agent, combiné au complexe à base de zinc, au cours d'un processus de vulcanisation au soufre du caoutchouc.
